| Connor is on the left, a (briefly) grumpy Ares, and Davis on the right. |
The parade was fun, but we left after 2 hours. It was getting long. We got there about 2 hours early, to make sure the kids could be on the street and see well (AND so we could be on the sun side of the street, the shade is still pretty cool). Good thing, the kids were crazy wild, at times dancing in the streets (4 lane road, only the 2 middle lanes had the parade, leaving a lane for kids to dance and play) plus, it gave them space to draw with their chalk paint and chalk sticks. There was also a tree with mulch and dirt directly behind us, that was used with some trucks before it got busy. The kids were SOO dirty!
After the parade, Bryan and Sarah (and Connor), Darah and Devin (and Davis) and Chad and Andrea (and Kalyee, Easton and Eli) all came over for some fun outside play and Corn Beef and Cabbage dinner. This weather is amazing!
Sunday was another fun outdoor day. I went through my Christmas lights in the Garage to see which ones worked and which needed returned, Adam worked on a bicycle he wants to sell, Ares rode on his 'scoot bike'. (More on that in another post). We went for a walk with my parents to the park (with Ares on his scoot bike) and then pulled him in the wagon to look at front porches. Then, to ice cream, back home and outside for some more play.
It's supposed to be in the 70's throughout this week- Amazing!!
