... and it's not with us. Haha. He is in the Outer Banks, NC (kittyhawk) with the Gerhardt family - and apparently LOVING the ocean and the beach and pools. I'm not surprised - at all. I hope he's behaving. I have a video on Facebook (posted to my page yesterday) that I can't save to upload here - but the joy in his face was pretty incredible.
I love how there have been 3 shark attacks off the beaches of NC in the past 2 days. All 3 teenagers in waist deep water or shallower. Two lost their arms and possibly a leg. Kinda scary when I am not there with him. I know he's having the time of his life though.
Atlas has been loving his 'only child' status. He does well with lots of attention. Hugs and kisses and cuddles and playiing non stop. He can handle that for a few more days.
As for me and Adam, well, we're starting a new project (and by 'we' I mean 'me' as he helped me buy the project and carry the project) but I will be staining cabinets to go in our morning room. yippee!!!!
Oh, other big news - but can't announce it just yet - although, I'm getting a little impatient with that aspect.

It's JUNE!
Holy cow, 2 things, 1 - where did the past few months go? And 2 - I'm on a work computer typing this! I've never been able to get on before - WOOT! Soo, what's happened since March? Well, lots of stuff! So much I can't even think of anything.
Ares finished Kindergarten. He got a Science award (because he wants to be a scientist - he says) and all of a sudden, he's a FIRST GRADER! What??!
We went camping over Memorial Day weekend. It's our last big hurrah with the Robbins family (Davis) as they're moving to Atlanta. We plan on visiting a lot, it's an easy flight, hopefully cheap and we're going to miss them TONS.
Camping was fun. Atlas is going to be one naughty teenager. He was amazing this whole time, but he's a handful, loves to do what the big kids do, and is the most defiant child ever. Camping was COLD freezing Athena-not-sleeping-COLD, but we had amazingly warm weather during the day - even to the point of us going canoing! Atlas insisted on having his feet AND his arms in the water, so he sat on the edge and I held on to his life-preserver while adam rowed the whole time (so many people in the river all he had to do was steer, because we couldn't go very fast). This year, the kids got along, the ENTIRE time. There may have been 45 seconds of arguing, I'm not sure, I can't quite remember.
My cousin Kassi was diagnosed with Lymphoma in May. We're doing a bunch of fundraising and hopefully can help support her through this. Ares and Adam shaved their heads, and Atlas got the shortest haircut of his young life.
I joined younique (www.sweatpantsandmascara.com) after I tried out their mascara and thought it was the greatest stuff ever! Now I actually wear makeup (Adam told me I look less 'mom' and more like 'fun'. I think that was meant to be a compliment.)
