Hall of mirrors
This blog is a mixture of our travel adventures and our new family adventures.
The title comes from a dumb blonde high school girl on a tour with us in Versailles who asked this question in every single room of the Palace.
The picture was taken while on our Honeymoon in China, on the Xian river.

Videos
My Aunt took Ares for the weekend while Adam and I were at a wedding. She managed to take more videos that weekend that I have since he has started walking.

Yum Spaghetti - he does OK eating by himself.
I have some videos to upload, but I need to download them first. You can view them on my Facebook page. More to come soon.Adam and I started to do the P90x. It's so much nicer having someone to work out with -(of course, if he loses any weight he'll disappear!), but we 'started over' and are on day 3 today. We are missing 1 DVD, (legs and back) so we improvise on the original schedule.

Day One...
... of P90X. I don't have a pull up bar (thank goodness!) so I only did about 40 minutes of the hour chest and back video. I think my arms are about to fall off. The part that hurt the worst during the video? My wrists. Far too many push ups! Hopefully I can keep this up. Tomorrow is my mom's graduation ceremony for her bachelors degree, so I hope I can still get it done tomorrow!

Pictures
I totally took pictures of food that Ares has often (Milk, Juice, Pickles) and taped them to the refrigerator door. I. AM. A. GENIUS. This kid always knows what he wants, but 'milk' 'more' and 'mama' all sound the same. now, he just points! I love my son!
So, this morning, was the first time we used it. He woke up, walked to the fridge, and pointed at the pickles and said 'pick-el'. I gave him milk.
Aunt Cindy says he's pointing this morning though.

Great things!
Congratulations to my dear husband!
One of the head honcho's in Progressive Claims knows Adam fairly well, due to his close proximity to corporate. He suggested that Adam start looking for a different position in the company, one in which his talents (and knowledge of vehicles) would be put to better use. A few days later, Adam found a position that interested him and went for it.
It was a VERY unusual hiring process, foreign to anyone familiar w/ PRG's 3 month hiring methods. The managers in his office had to put together a recommendation for him, then a 15 minute phone interview. That's it. It was a week's process, so only 4 people got their resume's in on time and approved, and Adam was offered the job! Now, I'm not surprised, as he's pretty much been doing the job during his lunch time for free, and he's a whiz on vehicles, parts, and recognizing how damages occurred (which means he's REALLY good at distinguishing customer's lies, lol), but that doesn't make me any less proud of him. Go Adam!

- After a very disappointing bid on our house, we have pretty much ignored it. Which is evident when you wake up and trip over toys, and slide on yesterday's mail in the middle of the living room etc. Well, we have a showing on Monday now, so we have to make it especially clean again. Thank goodness, I was really starting to get disgusted with it!
- This just bugs me. Ares' school is the best, they totally give him nearly as many kisses and hugs as I give him, so I (and he) knows they love him, but I heard someone there pronounced his name as "air-ess" the other day. It's the first time, in over a year, but still... I hope I didn't sound rude when I corrected her '"It's pronounced like 'Aries' the sign, but spelled like Ares, as in the Greek God."

"The Decision"
I'm disappointed. I'm so grateful that the Lebron James stuff is over I was SOO sick of hearing about him, but I'm very upset. He says that he looks up to his mother. WTF?! The same mother who kicked out a window in a cops car? The same mother who slept with your own teammate and tore you apart? The same mother who has NO IDEA who your father is because she slept with so many men? Right. Well, GFY because you've lost ALL of your Cleveland supporters. THE END.

Jeep Skool - 4th of July
Adam and I love to go camping, so this weekend, we decided it was a good time to introduce Ares to our outdoor love. (That, and Adam wanted to combine his love of camping with his love of his Jeep (dubbed the Khaki Abyss by me) and head off to Jeep Skool.) A pretty neat place, roughly 1500 acres of swamp, sand, mud, rocks and cliffs that are all access, for Jeeps to have fun in. Ares did so well, he took all of his naps in the tent when he was supposed to, slept great at night, didn't fuss at all (other than the normal diaper changing time).
He was smiles all weekend.

Ares LOVED this weekend.
He was smiles all weekend.
Yum, lunch!

The Skool was very kid friendly. They had a kid olympics. Ares couldn't participate in most of it (like a tug of war or the sack race), but one genius game was to grab as many flags as you could carry. The big kids had to go far away, but the little kids still got some. Here's Ares looking for flags.

Daddy put a flag down his shirt. He didn't like it so much.
He didn't like the big flags, he kept to the small ones
(Thank goodness!)
Yes! I won!
Yum, a hug at the end of the olympics (held at 2pm on a 90 degree day).
