Hall of mirrors
This blog is a mixture of our travel adventures and our new family adventures.
The title comes from a dumb blonde high school girl on a tour with us in Versailles who asked this question in every single room of the Palace.
The picture was taken while on our Honeymoon in China, on the Xian river.

Atlas' 3 year Bbirthday Questions

Ares turns 7!
Every year I ask Ares the same set of questions to see how his answers change. Here's last year. This is two years ago. Here's three years ago. I realize these are very juvenile questions, and will have to change them as he gets older, but for right now, I'm happy with this, and his answers. Six was such a yoyo year. He was awesome, he was terrible, he was awesome, he was terrible. His reading is amazing, his behavior leaves a little to be desired. He's at that spunky age that likes to defy everything, example, he didn't want to fill this out at all, so most answers were 'I have no idea' until I gave him that mom look.

Update: nearly 4.5 months later : Photos from his birthday party!
The kids got to decorate their own cupcakes with frosting filled syringes. I put way too much in each one, there were about 20 left over, and about 10 with only half the frosting gone. The kids loved designing their own cupcakes though, and it was super easy on me! I only baked the cupcakes and colored the frosting (plus, filled them. that was messy).
Adam did the experiments with the help of some other parents. This party was SUPER overwhelming for me, starting with the first experiment that went wrong - and the goo one went wrong too. Never had problems with it, until the party, never had problems afterwards either. Only during the party of course. They did elelphant toothpaste, bakingsoda balloon things, they even made their own ice cream (with whipping cream in a bag inside a bag with ice and salt, and shake. Most kids liked it, as long as the salt didn't get into the ice cream. ewww.
