Needless to say, it was NOT a good football weekend for us. USC wiped the field with OSU, it was not fun to watch. The other team scored 35 unanswered points. It was depressing, and I'm happy I skipped the 4th quarter.
I know I do not even need to talk about the Browns/Steelers game. It did not end well, I think the coaching staff lost this game. 10-6, but it really wasn't that close. Good defense, that's it. I'm ready for this to be NEXT season for the Tribe. The only good thing in Cleveland is that Cliff Lee (Pitcher for the Tribe) has 22 wins this year, and still 2 more games to play. Good for him to keep Clevelander's smiling, a bit.
Hurricane Ike came through last night. It was some of the most incredible wind I've ever experienced. It was so crazy, it knocked a shutter off of my parent's house, and we got to see a tree fall over, and other's uprooted. Our drive home was interesting as a lot of the roads were closed due to fallen trees. Many places lost power. Streetsboro had no power, except our development did. Too bad, I stayed up way too late watching the Browns lose.
Told some people at work the good news. My manager being one of them, so I don't feel bad that others find out. I have class tonight. It's going to stink. There's a person in there that I really can't stand, I believe the feeling might be mutual among a lot of people in the class. Anyhow, there's one less person in my class because of this other person I dislike. The one who dropped has gone through the entire program with us, and was always in my group. It's a bummer we won't see him any longer, since our other class together is a web class. Too bad the other person wasn't the one to leave.
We sent a package to Mauritania this week. It had crayons, a flat rugby ball, a cheap hand pump with needles, colored pencils, a drawing pad and some koolaid and gatorade mixes. It cost us $50 to ship!!! Crazy! The stuff in there was a total of like, $25. Ah well, I know it will be appreciated, and the Peace Corps is not an easy job.
That's it for now. Life is really uneventful.
13 weeks, 4 days
11 weeks of class left *sigh*
