Hall of mirrors

This blog is a mixture of our travel adventures and our new family adventures.
The title comes from a dumb blonde high school girl on a tour with us in Versailles who asked this question in every single room of the Palace.
The picture was taken while on our Honeymoon in China, on the Xian river.

Wii and Food

Does anyone else's kid eat half or 3/4 of their dinner, claim they're not hungry anymore - and then a half hour later, cry and whine because they're 'starving'.   This is a daily occurrence fight at our house.  In fact, yesterday, Ares was soo 'starving' that his knee hurt.  Huh. Imagine that.

We have introduced Ares to the Wii games.  Not that we've played since I was pregnant with him, but Saturday night we had some time before  bed, and thought it would be fun to play some bowling with Ares.   He had a blast  (and did very well by himself).  He bowled, played baseball, used the Fit to headball soccer balls and ski.  The skiing he didn't do so well at, the soccer ball one - well, I can honestly say, I don't remember hearing him laugh/giggle so much - ever.  Especially when those shoes came flying at him and hit him* in the head, haha.  Wow, did he enjoy that.

*by 'him', I mean his Wii character, which has blonde hair, brown eyes, blonde eye brows a nose that 'looks just like mine' and a mustache.  Yes, he pretty much designed his own Wii character to look like him, but with a mustache. A very blond mustache.  Looks a little like a more frightening looking Danny Bonaduce.
