Wow, I wish I could say that we've been super busy and so much is going on, but really, we're just keeping busy with everyday mundane things. School work, Legos, parties, going out to dinner, work, art projects... we've had the intentions of doing a few home projects, but they haven't really come to fruition yet, so this is an update to say that nothing much has happened.
Ares wants roller skates. He was by far the worst roller skater at Lola's birthday party, but he had the best time ever! Probably didn't have more than 25 seconds at a time without falling, but he kept getting up smiling. Atlas loved his little fisher price skates as well. Mommy was exhausted holding Ares up and catching him as he fell, but I hadn't laughed that hard in months. It was so much fun! We've been having a small issue with his behavior as of late. He's been very defiant and not such a good listener. We've threatened to take away furniture in his room when he's not behaving, so last week he lost all of the books off of his bookshelf. He now has to earn the books back slowly. He also lost a lot of books to Atlas and we got rid of some to the daycare. A needed cleansing if you will.
I can't wait to cleanse out more toys. We took a bunch into the basement around Christmas, and neither of the boys have asked for them back, so I'm thinking that means it's OK to purge. =) Ares is more into painting and creating items out of paper than he is with toys at this point. Atlas just likes to wrestle and play with cars or football players/footballs.
This morning Atlas told me that my shirt was pretty. He's never said anything like that before. He's becoming a funny kid - oh, and he'll be wearing diapers until his 24th birthday. Kid is terrified of the potty. Fantastic.
Up until this week, Adam has been working normal hours, which was really nice. He's got a class working Sun-Thurs now, which is a bummer, but it's getting easier with the boys.
